Cross-persona comparison Technocratic Care

This audio is designed to open up reflection and dialogue about the choices, skills, and systems that can shape the future of long-term care. We invite you to close your eyes, and visualise the world being described.

Transcript

What makes my world different from the other futures is this: here, technology does not just support care, it leads it.

In other scenarios, professionals have more room to improvise, to build care with communities, or to rely on human judgment. In my world, the system sets the rhythm. Algorithms shape decisions, protocols leave little space to deviate, and my role is to make sure that all of it stays accurate, fair, and under control.

That means this future needs something very specific: people who can supervise AI, audit systems, protect privacy, and still notice when a person’s reality does not fit the model.
