Working together for a healthy South Holland
South Holland has, on average, the lowest healthy life expectancy in the Netherlands and also the greatest health disparities. The province therefore faces major challenges in the areas of public health, care and a healthy living environment. In collaboration with the province, Muzus developed a working format for interactive theme sessions in which policymakers, scientists, professionals and stakeholders come together to exchange knowledge. The results of these sessions form the basis for the Healthy Society Map, an online platform that links knowledge to professionals.
Creating support
Developing health topics
To ensure that the content of the health themes is compiled and supported by the scientists, policymakers and professionals involved, Muzus developed a working form that ensures that those involved can work out a theme in a half-day, co-created session. We helped determine a clear focus and developed a step-by-step plan, the roadmap, laminated posters and templates.
Train-the-trainer
Validate and optimize
During three theme sessions we validated and optimized the working form. We observed, collected feedback from participants and used the train-the-trainer principle to train the clients to successfully use this working form themselves for subsequent theme sessions.
“It was great to be able to build on Muzus’ experience and commitment in this project. They listened carefully to our wishes and thought along with us in developing a suitable working form for the design sessions for the Healthy Society Map. As a result, only a limited number of iterations were sufficient for us to arrive at a working form that is pleasant for the participants, produces the desired outcomes, and that we can easily apply ourselves.”
