In co-creation with VGN, LFB, Humanitas DMH, Middin and six municipalities, Divosa and VNG and experience experts, Muzus developed the platform ‘Place for Everyone’ to help municipalities improve their services for people with mild intellectual disabilities.

Digital tour

Place for All offers tools and inspiration for inclusive service delivery for municipalities. On the website, experts by experience help you get started in their world of LVB. The meeting place lists all the information, introduces you to experts by experience to hear what they need. The workshop encourages you to get started with your community.

Participation not obvious

In the Netherlands there are an estimated 1.1 million people with a mild intellectual disability (LVB). Research shows that participation is not self-evident for them. Our society is complex and fast-paced, which can cause problems. This also plays a role in service provision. For example, from municipalities and social organizations. Think of information or letters that are difficult to understand, or difficult websites where you have to arrange things digitally. A little more alertness and sensitivity to an LVB can prevent many problems. How can we help municipalities with this?

While delving into the needs of employees at municipalities, we discovered that much already exists in terms of information, inspiration, tools and techniques, but that information is scattered everywhere and not easily found by everyone. In practice, the quality of service often depends on the energy of initiators and ambassadors within a municipality. And what better way to inspire people than to put the people concerned in the spotlight!
