Can it be an ounce more?
In Vision 2030, the VGN outlines what its dream for day care looks like in 2030. All people with disabilities will then participate in development-oriented activities and work in the middle of society.
This is possible if everyone works together. But how do you engage with care professionals and stakeholders about what they can contribute to bring this dream a little closer every day? Based on the principle of “think big, act small,” a lot is often possible. Together with VGN, Muzus developed the discussion board and the video ‘May it be an ounce more’. You can use these tools to discuss with healthcare professionals and stakeholders how they can bring the realization of our Vision 2030 a little closer every day.
What is your dream?
People with disabilities speaking out
In the video, people with disabilities explain why developmental activities and work are so important to them. They tell what their dream is and what they would like to work towards. But also what they are already proud of and what they have already achieved thanks to the efforts of the care professionals who support them in this. And these healthcare professionals indicate which “ounces more” they put in the scale to be able to take the next step.

The video and the talking plate are meant to be a starting point for an ongoing dialogue about what is possible to bring Vision 2030 a little closer. Every journey begins with an open conversation and the first step. You can use the talking plate as a guide for the conversation about what you yourself and what you as a team or organization can do to realize such a work or learning place. These can certainly be small steps that you can take right now.
All in a row
While delving into the needs of employees at municipalities, we discovered that much already exists in terms of information, inspiration, tools and techniques, but that information is scattered everywhere and not easily found by everyone.
In practice, the quality of service often depends on the energy of initiators and ambassadors within a municipality.
And what better way to inspire people than to put the people concerned in the spotlight!
